By the time a family first contacts us, it is common for parents to feel exhausted and both child and parents are angry, desperate, and hopeless. They may have tried other treatments and consulted experts on the issue of attachment problems with limited success. Though we are unable to help every family and child who comes to see us, we provide skilled, safe, and comprehensive services that produce positive results."Attachment therapy reaches the core of the troubled child and brings a sense of hope where there once was hopelessness. Until our son received his therapy, there were many pieces missing for him. He is now able to give and receive genuine love. We are deeply thankful for Attachment and Trauma Specialists and for their dedication and genuine caring for hurting children."-Parents of a 17 Year old adopted at birth
"Everything comes together at the ATS-- theory and practice, professionals and parents, home life and therapy -- to help the child. Working with the incredible staff at ATS has brought hope back into our lives and given our son a real chance at life.
After years of unsuccessful therapy, we knew instantly this was the right place. Two years and lots of hard work later, our son is a different child -- more joyful, more loving, less troubled."-Parent of a child adopted at age six
". . . I then walked out of there feeling like a whole different person. Like I had some love in me and that I could take some risk at letting my parents take care of me. I would look at them in the eyes. I would hug them back. I would feel more secure and at home than before. I would feel more connected."-A 14-year-old adopted teen after coming to ATS
Many of our parents have graciously offered to be contacted should there be any additional questions about their experiences here at ATS. Should you wish to contact them, feel free to inquire and we will gladly give you their information.
